Born in 1961, native New York icon Eric Haze has been making his impact felt in the worlds of art, design and product for over three decades. As an original member of the Soul Artists and Zoo York crew, Haze was one of the first legitimate graffiti artists to emerge into the art world in the early 1980’s.
After studying at the School of Visual Arts, Haze set up his first design studio in 1985 and quickly emerged as one of the singular graphic artists born out of the hip-hop movement; creating logos, album covers and identities for artists like Public Enemy, The Beastie Boys, and LL Cool J.
With the recognition of the Haze brand, Eric led collaborations with industry leaders such as Nike, G-Shock and Heineken. Recent times have also seen an inspired return by Haze to his fine art roots with four solo exhibitions in Hong Kong, NYC and LA. Haze currently works out of his Williamsburg, Brooklyn studio.
